How are you?
“I’m great thanks!”
You have released your new single 'Corrode', can you tell me a little bit about the track?
“’Corrode’ is a really up-tempo song, it’s got heaps of energy and aggression and has proven to be super fun to play live.”
Why did you pick 'Corrode' to be your new single?
“Our friend Max Chapman from Imprisoned features on it which we though was cool, it’s also a song that we feel represents us as a band really well. It has some technicality to it but also a lot of passion and emotion.”
You have also released your new EP 'Dusk', can you tell me a little bit about the release?
“‘Dusk’ is an EP we are all super proud of. It took a hell of a lot of work and I feel we have really put out a strong bunch of songs. We are slowly starting to find our feet and develop our own sound, which is very exciting. There are many different influences in our music and I think that makes for an interesting listen.”
What was the writing and recording process like for the new release?
“We kind of all do our own thing and then merge it together at the end. Max will write the riffs then Joe the drums and I come and do vocals right at the end. We do a fair bit of pre pro and then head over to our mate Sam Bassal’s house whom along with playing in his band Ocean Grove kills the production.”
What can fans expect from your new music?
“A lot of diversity and something we hope is fresh and relatively unique!”
What and who has influenced your sound and style on the new release?
“In terms of bands that have had an impact on all of us I’d have to say Volumes and Counterparts. Those two bands have really shaped our taste in music and I’m sure you can pick up on the influence.”
Tell me one fact about the band that you don't think your fans will know.
“That’s a tough one, I’d probably say just how diverse our music taste’s are. A couple of us barely even listen to heavy music!”
Describe the band in three words.
“Young, Energetic and Positive.”
What are you most excited for this year?
“We have a tour around our country and some really cool shows with some big bands so that’s really exciting!”
Where can fans find out more about you?
“Facebook is the place to go, instagram is another option if you’re more of a visual person.”
